If you don’t like all kinds of cute fuzzy critters, then you might want to skip this post.
A couple of weeks ago we got the boys some bunnies. They have been wanting bunnies for a couple of years now and we figured since we have chickens and goats, why the heck not bunnies.
We got two bunnies and the boys love them. Then we found out K2’s bunny was blind. So we got him another one and of course we are keeping the blind one, so now we have three. That also brings my total to three disabled pets. A blind bunny, a diabetic, partially blind dog and a three-legged cat. I do not need anything else, disabled or otherwise.
So here’s the bunnies.
The blind one, Sadie, is the brown and white one in the middle. The brown one is Gertie, and the one with black around her eyes is Maybelline.
The chickens, the six that are big enough, have been living in their coop for about two weeks as well. We have four more that are about two weeks away from moving into the coop.
Then we saw this. He/she was hiding under my rose-bush. I took this picture just before it tried to strike me.
Then there is Nermel. Nermel and I have been having a disagreement for a few days now. He keeps getting in the chicken house and eating all the food. I keep dragging him out and then lowering the door to the coop and he keeps getting in. He’s very stubborn. So far he has won the battle. Both in getting in the chicken house and making me mad, at a goat.
I was busy before we got all these animals. I’m even more so now, but there is something relaxing about watching the chickens pecking and the goats hopping and running around. Not to mention the feel of a soft bunny. They are a lot of work, but the boys and the AH help out and everyone seems to enjoy them.
I’m unsure if we will ever make it back to the beach because of all of them.
Anyone want to come feed some animals sometime while I go lay on the beach, where there is no goat, chicken, or rabbit poop? Anyone?
